With the end of 2024 fast approaching, it's a good time to reflect. How was the year, personally and professionally, for you and your organization? Did you achieve all that was hoped for? Most likely you didn't and that's okay. More importantly, take stock of "wins" however small. In the 2011 Harvard Business Review article The Power of Small Wins, researchers Teresa Amabile and Steven Kramer share how celebrating incremental wins can transform how you and your organization feels and functions. So go ahead and celebrate! Congratulations!

Five Reasons to Celebrate Small Wins:

  1. Build confidence and ease fear of failure

  2. Boost motivation through the cumulative effect of incremental wins

  3. Enhance well-being by nurturing a positive environment

  4. Cultivate and sustain a culture of success

  5. Create a psychological safety net by cushioning the impact of setbacks
