Updated: 4 days ago

LAP Leaders: Progress and Collaboration
LAP Leaders: Progress and Collaboration

On January 23, the seven Executive Directors selected to participate in Nonprofit Net’s Leadership Acceleration Program (LAP) met to share the progress they’ve made since their gathering in November. Their successes are remarkable, including:

✅ Recruiting skilled board members

✅ Securing major grant awards

✅ Pursuing new partnerships

✅ Completing a vision statement and strategic plan

Beyond individual achievements, the spirit of collaboration stood out—participants openly exchanged insights, resources, and relevant experiences, strengthening each other’s leadership journeys. Group members represent fairly diverse organizations in the nonprofit sector; the wisdom they’ve acquired and the strategies they’ve employed have been of significant value to their LAP colleagues.

With two more Peer Group meetings ahead—one in April and another in June—the cohort will continue refining strategies, supported by dedicated one-on-one coaching.

Meet the 2024 Leadership Acceleration Program Cohort:

🔷 Sharon Bryant, Foster Care Essentials

🔷 Nikki Flionis, MissionSAFE

🔷 Aaron Greiner, CultureHouse (see below)

🔷 Jody Pongratz, Dedham School of Music

🔷 Marieke Van Damme, History Cambridge

🔷 Terry Witherell, First Literacy

🔷 Bill Yelenak, Providers' Council

The Leadership Acceleration Program is a nine-month journey, encompassing five Peer Group meetings and the assignment of a coach to each executive who supports them in pursuing an important challenge facing their organization.
