Belmont World Film is in the midst of its 22nd International Film Series, running
through May 20, followed by two films as part of its annual observance of World
Refugee Awareness Month on June 3 and 10, (with partial proceeds benefiting the
International Institute of New England. All screenings take place at the West Newton
Cinema on Mondays at 7:30 PM and will be followed by discussions led by expert
speakers. Belmont World Film also hosts a Family Film Festival for children age 3-12 in January, featuring extraordinary live action and animated films from around the world, many
based on children’s books to help reinforce a love of reading.
